Intentsly vs Common Room: Signal Tool or Revenue OS?
Common Room is a revenue platform that pulls signals from your website, product, CRM and communities for a sales team of five seats and up. Intentsly watches LinkedIn for one or two profiles and lets an AI SDR run the conversation. This page takes Common Room's side of the table from commonroom.io, opened today.
Intentsly vs Common Room compares two sizes of product. Common Room is a buyer-intelligence platform for a sales team: it pulls signals from your website, product, CRM, communities and your LinkedIn company page, ranks accounts and hands drafts to reps, from five seats on an annual contract. Intentsly is a LinkedIn signal tool for one or two profiles, with an AI SDR that holds the conversation and books the meeting. Pick Common Room for every signal in one place; pick Intentsly if nobody has time to answer replies.
Everything about Common Room below comes from commonroom.io, opened on 23 October 2026, with a link on each claim. Everything about Intentsly comes from what the product does today, limits included. If you are also weighing a reviewed-drafts tool, the Intentsly vs Valley page covers that pairing; other pairings are on the compare index.
Intentsly vs Common Room at a glance
| Job to be done | Intentsly | Common Room (per its own site, 23 October 2026) |
|---|---|---|
| Signal sources | LinkedIn only | CRM, product usage, website, marketing, community and social channels; its docs list Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, GitHub, Discord, Slack, Reddit, Twitter, YouTube, Stack Overflow and more (signals and integrations) |
| LinkedIn signals | Engagement on competitor and industry-leader posts, keyword posts, competitor page followers and engagers, hashtag engagement | Posts, comments and reactions on your own company page plus posts that mention your page; personal profiles not supported; followers not tracked "due to API limitations" (LinkedIn integration guide) |
| Non-LinkedIn signals | None | Job changes, job listings, news and events, website visitor identification, product usage, Bombora topics (native signals, pricing page) |
| Fit check | Every prospect scored against your ICP and prioritised before outreach | AI Scoring and a Buying Committee view; RoomieAI Orchestrate ranks accounts and people by intent (RoomieAI page) |
| Research | No separate research step | RoomieAI Capture runs account research; Ask CR Anything answers questions inside account views (RoomieAI page) |
| Enrichment | Verified emails | Prospector credits against a "400M+ contact directory", plus premium phone number credits (homepage, pricing page) |
| Who writes the message | The AI SDR | RoomieAI Activate drafts; "Human-led review stays in the loop" (RoomieAI page) |
| Who sends it | Intentsly, as LinkedIn connection requests and messages; no email | Your sequencer: contacts are added to Outreach, Salesloft or Apollo sequences (LinkedIn plays post); Zoom's Engage sequencing is sold on the same site (ZRA pricing) |
| What happens on a reply | The AI SDR continues the LinkedIn conversation and sends your Cal.com or Google Calendar link | A rep; the pages opened today do not describe an agent that answers prospects |
| Seats and senders | Up to 2 LinkedIn accounts per workspace; max 30 messages and 30 connection requests per account per day, 15 recommended | 5 seats on Essential, 15 on Advanced, 30 on Enterprise; LinkedIn sending is not a Common Room feature (pricing page) |
| Integrations | HubSpot, Cal.com, Google Calendar, LinkedIn | Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack, Outreach and "50+ other integrations", an MCP server and CLI on every plan (homepage, pricing page) |
| Export | Export of leads and signals | API is for getting data in, "not for getting data out"; outbound export runs to your S3 bucket, and in-product exports are an add-on (API docs, S3 export, pricing page) |
| Trial | 7 days, and /try-ai shows matching buyers with no account | No trial or free tier on the pricing page; the call to action is a demo request (pricing page) |
Two rows decide most purchases here: the LinkedIn signals row and the reply row. The next two sections take them in turn, starting with the jobs Common Room does and Intentsly does not.
Where is Common Room the better choice?
Common Room does most of its work in places Intentsly never looks. If any of these is why you are shopping, Intentsly is the wrong pick.
Your buyers show up on your website, in your product or in a community. Common Room identifies website visitors, ingests product usage from BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift or S3, and watches GitHub, Discord, Slack, Reddit, Stack Overflow and YouTube (signals and integrations). Intentsly has none of this. If a free-tier signup or a GitHub star is your best signal, there is no contest.
You sell to accounts, not people. Common Room's pricing page lists AI Scoring, a Buying Committee view, job change tracking and Bombora Company Surge topics, and RoomieAI Orchestrate ranks accounts and people by intent and pairs with a daily Spark Brief email to reps (pricing page, RoomieAI page). Intentsly scores one person against your ICP at a time. An account-based team with a territory per rep needs the account layer.
You run a sales team with a sequencer already. Common Room's own LinkedIn plays add contacts to preconfigured Outreach sequences, and the platform also starts sequences in Apollo and Salesloft (LinkedIn plays post). Every plan includes CRM, sales engagement and Slack integrations plus an MCP server (pricing page). Intentsly connects natively to HubSpot, Cal.com, Google Calendar and LinkedIn and lists no API. If Salesforce plus Outreach is your stack, Common Room fits it and Intentsly does not.
You want research before every message. RoomieAI Capture "runs bespoke account research and intent capture", and Ask CR Anything answers questions about an account from the data in the room (RoomieAI page). Intentsly has no research step; it scores the signal and the profile and the AI SDR writes from that.
Compliance asks for paperwork. Common Room states SOC 2 certification and GDPR compliance on its pricing page, with SSO and SAML/SCIM in the feature list (pricing page). If procurement needs those boxes ticked, ask Intentsly before you assume either way.
You have more than two people sending. Common Room's smallest plan is five seats and its largest listed plan is thirty, with the homepage claiming it scales to "1,000+ reps" (pricing page, homepage). Intentsly is built around up to two LinkedIn accounts per workspace.
Where is Intentsly the better choice?
You want engagement on other people's LinkedIn posts. This is the row the alternatives pages get wrong. Common Room's LinkedIn integration connects your company page and captures posts, comments and reactions on that page plus posts that mention it; personal profiles are "not currently supported" and followers are not tracked "due to API limitations" (LinkedIn integration guide). Its own playbook says the platform "won't grab reactions or comments on individual posts that don't explicitly mention you" (LinkedIn plays post), and the Chrome extension that used to fill that gap stopped capturing engagement from LinkedIn posts on 6 December 2024 (Chrome extension post). Today the extension adds contacts one profile at a time (Chrome extension docs). Intentsly's LinkedIn signals watch who likes, comments on or shares posts from your competitors and industry leaders, who posts about the pain points and tools you care about, who follows or engages with competitor pages, and who engages with hashtags. If the competitor's launch post is where your buyers are, Intentsly reads it and Common Room does not.
The lead gets an answer without you. Common Room's RoomieAI Activate drafts the outbound message and keeps "human-led review" in the loop; the send happens in your sequencer and the reply lands with a rep (RoomieAI page). Intentsly's AI SDR sends the LinkedIn connection request and message, holds the conversation when the lead answers, and sends your Cal.com or Google Calendar link so the lead books the meeting. If your inbox is the bottleneck, this is the difference to weigh.
We ran this on ourselves at launch: our own signals and AI SDR, targeting founders who posted about cold outreach burnout, booked 14 qualified demos in 14 days with zero manual outreach, and the reply rate was 4x our previous cold campaigns. Most of those leads came from signals caught in real time rather than from a list.
You are one or two people. Common Room's entry plan is five seats billed annually with a demo as the first step (pricing page). Intentsly is self-serve, live in about five minutes, with a 7-day free trial, no sales call and cancel anytime. A founder running outbound alone has no plan sized for them on that page.
You want to see the list before you pay. /try-ai shows people matching your profile who are engaging on LinkedIn right now, with no account. Common Room's pricing page has no trial or free tier and asks for a demo (pricing page).
You want a stated ceiling on LinkedIn. Intentsly caps each account at 30 messages and 30 connection requests a day and recommends 15. Common Room does not send on LinkedIn at all, so the limit is whatever your sequencer or your reps do by hand.
You sell in Romanian, German or Dutch. Intentsly monitors and writes in English, Romanian, German and Dutch. Common Room's pages opened today do not state supported languages, so ask before you assume either way.
What does each tool cost?
Common Room's pricing page, last modified on 29 September 2026, lists three plans. Essential is $2,500 a month billed annually for 5 seats, up to 100k contacts, 5k RoomieAI research credits and 2.5k Prospector credits, with select integrations and a shared customer success manager. Advanced is custom-priced for 15 seats and up to 250k contacts; Enterprise is custom-priced for 30 seats and up to 750k contacts with comprehensive integrations. All three list unlimited alerts, workflows and segments (Common Room pricing page).
Three things on that page change the real cost. Product signals, in-product data exports and auto-recurring data exports are listed as add-ons only; DataAgent is view-only on every plan with actions as an add-on; and more Prospector credits cost extra (pricing page). Outreach sending is not on the page: the LinkedIn plays run through Outreach, Salesloft or Apollo (LinkedIn plays post), and the Zoom tab of the same pricing page sells Engage sequencing as an add-on on its Essentials and Premium tiers (ZRA pricing). Budget the sequencer separately. Prices change; check the page before you decide.
Intentsly: see the pricing page. There is a 7-day free trial, setup is self-serve with no sales call, and you can cancel anytime.
The useful comparison is cost per booked meeting, not per month. Common Room's price buys signal coverage across many channels for a team; Intentsly's buys one channel and the conversation handled for you. If you have no reps to work the Spark Brief, the coverage is worth less than the sticker.
Can you use both?
Yes, and they do not collide. Common Room does not send on LinkedIn, so its presence changes nothing about Intentsly's 30-a-day caps on your profile. The split that makes sense is by signal: Common Room for website, product, community and job-change signals routed to your sequencer and reps; Intentsly for engagement on competitor and industry posts, with the AI SDR running the LinkedIn conversation. Both connect to HubSpot, so the CRM stays the single record (Common Room integrations).
What you would not get is one scoring model: a person who shows up in both will carry two scores. Pick one as the source of truth in HubSpot before you connect either.
How do you switch from Common Room to Intentsly?
Common Room's API is built for getting data in, "not for getting data out" (API docs). Its outbound export writes to an S3 bucket you set up: activities daily, contacts and organizations weekly, JSONL by default or CSV on request, with Common Room's team finalising the data contract (exporting data with S3). In-product and auto-recurring exports are add-ons on the pricing page (pricing page). So plan the export before the contract ends, and pull out:
- Your contacts with tags and segments, through the S3 export or your CRM sync, so HubSpot or Salesforce keeps the history.
- Your segment definitions: the titles, company sizes and signal combinations that produced meetings.
- The list of competitors and topics your reps searched by hand for the external-influencer and competitor plays.
- Any open sequence in Outreach, Salesloft or Apollo, so nobody waiting on a reply goes cold.
Intentsly finds people from live LinkedIn signals rather than from an imported list, so items 2 and 3 carry over, not the contact file. Set up the same competitors and keywords as LinkedIn signals, connect the same HubSpot, and the scoring runs against the profile you already know works. The guide to setting up signal-based outbound walks through the first week step by step.
Which should you pick?
If your buyers show up on your website, in your product or in a community, you sell to accounts with a team of five or more, you already run Outreach, Salesloft or Apollo, or procurement needs SOC 2 on paper: Common Room. If your buyers show up by reacting to other people's LinkedIn posts, you run one or two profiles, and you want the reply answered and the meeting booked without a rep in the loop: Intentsly.
Still unsure? The shortest test is to see your own buyers. Open /try-ai, which shows matching people engaging on LinkedIn right now, no account needed. If the list is thin, your buyers are not where Intentsly looks and Common Room's wider net is the better bet. If it is full, start the 7-day trial and let the AI SDR take the first conversations. Either way you have an answer this week.
FAQ
Does Common Room track LinkedIn post engagement?
Only on your own company page. Its LinkedIn integration captures posts, comments and reactions on your page and posts that mention it; personal profiles are not supported and followers are not tracked (LinkedIn integration guide). The Chrome extension stopped capturing engagement from any LinkedIn post in December 2024. Intentsly tracks engagement on competitor and industry-leader posts.
How much does Common Room cost?
Common Room's pricing page, last modified 29 September 2026, lists Essential at $2,500 a month billed annually for 5 seats and up to 100k contacts, with Advanced (15 seats) and Enterprise (30 seats) custom-priced (pricing page). There is no trial or free tier on the page. Intentsly's plans are on its pricing page with a 7-day free trial.
Does Common Room send messages to prospects?
Not by itself on the pages opened today. RoomieAI Activate drafts outbound messages with "human-led review" in the loop (RoomieAI page), and contacts are added to Outreach, Salesloft or Apollo sequences for sending. Intentsly's AI SDR sends LinkedIn connection requests and messages itself, continues the conversation and sends your calendar link.
Can I export my data from Common Room?
Yes, with setup. Common Room's API is for sending data in, not out (API docs); outbound export runs to an S3 bucket in JSONL or CSV, activities daily and contacts weekly (S3 export docs). In-product exports are listed as an add-on. Intentsly supports export of leads and signals.
Which is better for a small team?
A team of one or two people has no Common Room plan sized for them: its entry plan is five seats billed annually (pricing page). Intentsly runs up to two LinkedIn accounts per workspace, is self-serve with a 7-day trial, and the AI SDR handles replies, which matters most when nobody is free to answer them.
Does Intentsly track website visitors or product usage?
No. Intentsly's signals come from LinkedIn only: post engagement, keyword posts, competitor page followers and engagers, and hashtag engagement. Website visitor identification, product usage signals, job changes and community sources are Common Room's territory (signals and integrations). If those are your best signals, choose Common Room or run both.
