Free Trigify Alternatives: 7 Options Sorted by the Job They Cover

Trigify closes for most customers on 22 October 2026. No free tool does its whole job, but a free stack covers most of it. Here are seven options sorted by job, what each free tier blocks, and when paying is cheaper than free.

No free Trigify alternative does the whole job. Trigify closes for most customers at 11:59pm BST on 22 October 2026, and the free trigify alternatives that exist cover one piece each: Clay's free plan for the workflow layer, PhantomBuster's free plan for post commenters, F5Bot for Reddit and Hacker News listening, Google Alerts for company news, LinkedIn's own search for keyword posts. Intentsly has no free plan, only a 7-day trial and a no-account preview. This page sorts the options by job and says what each free tier blocks.

If you would rather pay once and have the job done for you, the full list of Trigify alternatives compares seven paid tools by job. This page is for the reader who wants to spend nothing, or close to it, and is prepared to do some of the work by hand.

Is there a free Trigify alternative at all?

Partly. Trigify bundled three jobs. Social Signals monitors profiles and companies you choose and surfaces a feed of events such as "Liked competitor content" or "Company started hiring for relevant roles", per Trigify's help docs. Listening runs keyword searches, with AND and NOT terms, across LinkedIn, X, Reddit, YouTube and podcasts, plus Hacker News. Workflows then fire the results into a CRM, Slack or a sequencing tool. Free tools exist for each job, but each one gives up the part Trigify did automatically, usually the monitoring. You will be running searches or launching exports yourself instead of receiving a feed.

Two definitions matter for the rest of this page. A free plan is a tier that stays free for as long as you use it, within limits. A free trial ends, usually after 7 or 14 days, and then the tool is paid or gone. Most of the pages ranking for this query mix the two. Only three options below are free plans in the strict sense: Clay, PhantomBuster and F5Bot. Google Alerts and LinkedIn search are free services with no plan at all. Everything else is a trial.

The trigify.io homepage, read on 21 October 2026, says that monitoring, integrations and API access stop when account access ends, that accounts are not migrated to HubSpot, and that exports must be done with the options already in the product or with help from hugo@trigify.io. So whichever free option you pick, the export comes first. The Trigify shutting down explainer lists which screens have an export button.

Gojiberry also offers a trial rather than a free plan: its pricing section shows "Free Trial · Live in 5 minutes · Cancel anytime" above a Pro plan at $99 a month. It is worth a trial if you want an AI agent to run LinkedIn outreach from competitor engagement, but it belongs with the paid options once the trial ends.

    1. LinkedIn's own search for keyword posts

Trigify's Listening searches on LinkedIn can be replaced by hand, for nothing, if the list of phrases is short. The method takes about ten minutes a day.

    1. Type the phrase in LinkedIn's search bar in quotes, for example "looking for a fractional CFO", and switch the results to Posts.
    2. Sort by Latest rather than Top, so you see the posts from the last day instead of the most popular ones from the last month.
    3. Save the search URL as a browser bookmark. One bookmark per phrase, in a folder called Signals.
    4. Open the folder each morning, scan the new posts, and write the author's name and the post link into a sheet with the date.
    5. Rewrite phrases that return noise. "CFO" alone returns job posts and congratulations; "looking for a fractional CFO" returns people who need one.

What you lose against Trigify: no AND/NOT operators that combine sources, no history, no alert when a new post matches, and no profile data beyond what the post shows. What you keep: the exact posts, with no credit cost and nothing to export when a tool closes. If the phrase list grows past five, the routine stops fitting in ten minutes, which is when the paid tools earn their fee. The Buying Signal Playbook lists the 12 buying signals worth chasing and 8 to ignore, which is a useful filter for which phrases deserve a bookmark.

    2. Intentsly: a trial and a no-account preview, not a free plan

Intentsly has no free plan. What it offers free is a 7-day trial and the try-ai page, which shows matching buyers before you create an account. That is enough to test whether the LinkedIn engagement job, the one Trigify's Social Signals covered, produces people you would message.

Inside the trial, Intentsly watches people who like, comment on or share posts from competitors and industry leaders you name, posts that contain your keywords, followers and engagers of competitor company pages, and hashtag engagement. Each prospect is scored against your ideal customer profile and enriched with a verified email. An AI SDR then sends the LinkedIn connection request and messages, holds the conversation, and sends your Cal.com or Google Calendar link so the lead books the meeting. If you ran Trigify's engagement signals into a sequencer by hand, that step is the one Intentsly does for you: it turns competitor-post engagement into LinkedIn conversations without a Clay table in between.

The limits are the same ones we state in every comparison. LinkedIn is the only source, so Reddit, X, YouTube, podcast and Hacker News listening are not covered. Up to 2 LinkedIn sender accounts per plan, with a maximum of 30 messages and 30 connection requests per account per day, and 15 recommended. HubSpot is the only CRM integration. Export exists. Monitoring and outreach work in English, Romanian, German and Dutch. When we launched, we ran the product on ourselves and booked 14 qualified demos in 14 days with zero manual outreach; that is one campaign, not a benchmark.

Where a free option is the better choice: you only ever pulled the engagers of a few posts, or your pipeline has to end in Attio, Salesforce or Airtable.

    3. Clay's free plan for the workflow layer

If your Trigify setup ended in a Clay table, the free plan on Clay's pricing page keeps that table alive. The page describes it as "Start building in Clay for free. No strings attached." and lists 500 actions a month, 100 data credits a month and up to 200 rows per table. Multi-provider waterfalls, Claygent enrichment and bring-your-own API keys are included; phone number enrichment is not.

The catch for a Trigify refugee is the plan gate on the pieces that made Trigify useful. On the same pricing page, the rows "Automate any signal via webhooks", "HTTP API integrations" and "CRM integrations" show "Not included" for Free and Launch and start on Growth, and "Job change signals" start on Launch. So a free Clay table can hold and enrich the people you find, but it cannot receive a webhook from a signal tool or push rows into HubSpot on its own. You paste rows in, or import a CSV, and export by hand.

The rebuild Trigify workflows in Clay guide maps each Trigify workflow node to its Clay equivalent and states the limit of each option for replacing the Trigify trigger, including which ones need a paid plan.

Better choice when: you have a Trigify workflow with three or more nodes and want to keep the shape of it. Wrong choice when: nobody on the team will maintain the table, or your pipeline needs a webhook, which puts you on a paid plan on day one.

    4. PhantomBuster's free plan for post commenters

PhantomBuster covers the narrowest version of Trigify's Social Signals: give it a post URL and it exports the people who liked or commented. Its pricing explainer, dated July 2026, lists a free plan with 30 minutes of execution time a month, one automation slot, 50 MB of storage, and exports and API calls limited to 10 rows each. There is a separate 14-day trial with 2 run hours and five slots, no card required.

Ten rows per export is the number to read twice. A competitor post with 80 comments gives you 10 of them on the free plan. That is fine for checking whether the data is worth paying for, and useless for monitoring. The paid Start plan, shown at $69 a month or $56 billed annually on the same page, removes the row cap and adds execution hours.

Every PhantomBuster launch runs from your connected LinkedIn account, so the daily outreach caps you would apply to that account apply here too. Better choice when: a handful of posts a week, pulled by hand, is the whole job. Wrong choice when: you want posts found for you, or you will not connect your own account to a scraper.

    5. F5Bot for Reddit and Hacker News listening

Trigify's Listening sources include Reddit and Hacker News alongside LinkedIn, per the create search node docs. For those two sources, F5Bot is the free replacement: you enter keywords and it emails you when they appear in new posts or comments on Reddit, Hacker News and Lobsters. The homepage states "Free to use. No credit card required." and lists the free plan as free forever, with Silver at $9.99 a month and Gold at $49.99 a month adding more keywords, filtering, full post text and delivery to Slack, Discord, RSS or JSON.

It does not touch LinkedIn, X or YouTube, and it sends one email per match rather than a feed with profile data. For a founder who used Trigify mainly to catch "anyone recommend a tool for X" threads on Reddit, it is closer to a full replacement than anything else on this page. Pair it with the LinkedIn search routine above and you have both sides of the listening job for nothing.

    6. Google Alerts for company and funding news

Trigify's company signals, per its help docs, include a company starting to hire for relevant roles, a rising jobs count and a company starting to post around a relevant initiative. Nothing free replaces those from LinkedIn data, but Google Alerts covers the news side of company tracking for nothing: one alert per company name or per phrase such as "Series A" fintech Amsterdam, delivered as it happens, daily or weekly, with filters for source type (news, blogs, web, discussions, video), language, region, and "only the best results" or "all results".

It reads the web, not social posts, and it knows nothing about who engaged with what. Treat it as the free version of the company-event signal, which the Trigify replacement for LinkedIn engagement tracking comparison leaves to the paid tools. Set the frequency to daily and the results to "only the best" or the inbox fills with press-release syndication.

    7. Octolens and other trials: free for a week, then paid

Octolens is the closest match to Trigify's multi-source Listening among the tools we opened: its pricing page lists LinkedIn, Reddit, Bluesky, X, Hacker News, YouTube, GitHub and review sites on every plan, with podcasts, news and newsletters on Scale. It has no free plan. The trial is 7 days of Pro with up to 5,000 mentions and no card; after that, Pro is shown at $159 a month billed annually and Scale at $499.

A trial is the right free option in exactly one situation: you need the data for the week around 22 October while you decide, and you expect to pay after. Start the trial the day Trigify access ends, not before, so the seven days cover the gap. The same logic applies to the Gojiberry trial and to Intentsly's 7-day trial.

A free stack that covers most of Trigify, and the weekly routine to run it

The free options above combine into one setup. It costs nothing in subscriptions and about an hour a week in attention. Treat the hour as the price.

    Trigify jobFree replacementWeekly routine
Keyword posts on LinkedInLinkedIn search bookmarks, sorted by LatestTen minutes each morning; log author, link, date
Engagers on competitor postsPhantomBuster free plan, 10 rows per exportMonday: pick the three best competitor posts of the week, export the top commenters
Reddit and Hacker News mentionsF5Bot free planRead the alert emails; reply where the thread is live
Company news and fundingGoogle Alerts, daily, best results onlyFriday: move funded or launching companies into the sheet
Holding and enriching the listClay free plan, 200 rows per tableFriday: paste the week's rows in, run the email waterfall within the 100 credits
OutreachBy hand from your LinkedIn accountDaily: a connection request or message to the people logged that day, within the caps your account can take

Two warnings. First, the sheet becomes the product: if nobody owns it, the signals pile up unread and the whole exercise is worth less than a paid tool you ignore. Second, the free tiers are sized for evaluation. Clay's 200 rows per table and PhantomBuster's 10 rows per export are generous for a test and tight for a pipeline, and both vendors say so by putting the next size on a paid plan.

When free is the wrong choice

Use this rule. If your Trigify use was one of these, free is fine: under five keyword phrases, under three tracked competitors, Reddit as the main listening source, or a table you already maintain in Clay. If it was one of these, pay: more than two tracked competitors whose posts you want engagers from every week, outreach you want sent without you, a CRM that must receive the rows automatically, or a team of more than one person reading the signals.

The cost of free is time, and time compounds. An hour a week is about fifty hours a year. Multiply that by what your hour is worth and compare it with the annual price of the tool that covers your job on the Trigify alternatives list; for most founders the paid tool is the cheaper one. The honest version of "free Trigify alternatives" is: free to test, paid to run.

Where Intentsly fits that rule: when the job is LinkedIn engagement and keyword posts followed by outreach, and you want it to happen while you do something else. Where it does not: sources beyond LinkedIn, more than 2 sender accounts, or a CRM other than HubSpot.

What to do before access ends on 22 October

    1. Export every Trigify view you still want, today. Monitoring, integrations and the API stop with access, per the trigify.io notice. Email hugo@trigify.io if a screen will not export.
    2. Pick the job you are replacing, not the product. One line: "I used Trigify for ___."
    3. Set up the free option for that job from the table above. Allow an hour.
    4. Start any trial on 23 October, so the free days cover the gap rather than overlapping with Trigify.
    5. Put the weekly routine in your calendar. A free stack with no owner is a closed account with extra steps.

The quickest check of whether the paid route is worth it for the LinkedIn job takes two minutes and no account: open try-ai, name a competitor, and look at who it finds engaging with their posts. If the names are the people you would message anyway, the trial is worth the week. If not, the free stack above costs nothing but the hour.

    FAQ

Is there a completely free Trigify alternative?

Not for the whole product. Clay, PhantomBuster and F5Bot have free plans that each cover one Trigify job, and LinkedIn search and Google Alerts are free services. None of them monitors continuously across sources the way Trigify did. A free stack covers most of the jobs if you accept running it by hand each week.

Is Clay free enough to replace Trigify?

For holding and enriching a list, yes: 500 actions and 100 data credits a month with 200 rows per table, per Clay's pricing page. For the pushes Trigify made, no: the same page lists webhooks, HTTP API integrations and CRM integrations as "Not included" on Free and Launch and starting on Growth. A free table receives pasted rows and exports by hand.

Does PhantomBuster's free plan cover post commenters?

It runs the commenter and liker exports, but on the free plan every export returns at most 10 rows, within 30 minutes of execution a month and one automation slot. That is enough to see whether the data is useful and not enough to monitor a competitor. The paid Start plan removes the row cap.

Can I track LinkedIn post engagement for free?

Only post by post. PhantomBuster's free plan returns the likers or commenters of a post URL you supply, ten rows per export, with your own LinkedIn account connected. Nothing free watches a competitor's profile and tells you about new engagers as they appear. For that job, Intentsly and Gojiberry are paid tools with a free trial.

Does Intentsly have a free plan?

No. Intentsly offers a 7-day free trial and a no-account preview at /try-ai that shows matching buyers from LinkedIn engagement. After the trial it is a paid subscription. If you need a free plan rather than a free week, use the stack on this page instead.

Is Trigify free to use until it closes?

The trigify.io notice says subscriptions do not renew past the service end date and that final invoices, charges, credits or refunds are communicated to each customer directly. It makes no public statement about free use, so assume your current terms apply until 11:59pm BST on 22 October 2026 and check the notice you received.
